Eugene Lee Wood, 69 of Vestal, NY, passed away Thursday March 19, 2026, surrounded by his loving family. He was predeceased by his loving wife of 22 years, Nancy Wood; his parents, Mabel and Leland Wood.
He is survived by his children, Julie Conklin, Daniel Wood, Hope (John) Frederickson, John (Sandy) Hoover, Rick Winkler, and Tammy Browning; his sister, Roberta Spencer; his grandchildren, Jaclyn (Colten) Keller, Blaine (Brooke) Frederickson, Serenity Douglas, Karaena Rought, and Trever Green; his great-grandchildren, John, Aaliyah, Makenna, Hunter, CJ, Braxton, and Alivia; also several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Eugene worked at Warehouse Carpet for many years until retirement and later started working at Home Depot where he made many friends that he stayed in contact with until his death. He enjoyed NASCAR racing, golfing and loved his NY Giants, but most of all, spending time with his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
A graveside service will be held Saturday June 20th at the Nanticoke Valley Cemetery 1927-1929 Union Center Maine Highway, Endicott, NY, at 11:00 AM followed by a Celebration of Life.
