Nicholas DeLeo died on March 27, 2026 at Mercy House of the Southern Tier. He was born on September 19, 1937, in Brooklyn, NY. Nick served in the US Army.
He was a family man and passionate sports enthusiast. Nick found joy in watching baseball, horse racing and playing golf with his friends. Nick loved to play the lottery. He had a great sense of humor and loved telling jokes to all he met. Nick was a prolific painter and gifted many with his canvases.
He is survived by his loving wife, Ruth DeLeo; children Nicholas (Jayne) DeLeo, Toni (Lance) Kemmer, Kim (Shaun Finch) Kaso and Phil (Tara Frank) Kaso; sister Camille Falco; grandchildren Koda Kemmer, Natalie Ryan and Skye Kaso; nephew Frank (Roberta) Falco; niece Nicole (Jim) Conti; and 5 great-nephews.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to Barbara Lewis who helped care for him & his wife at home the last several years, the staff at UMH-Hilltop and Good Shepard Fairview Rehab and all the Hospice staff at Mercy House and Guthrie Hospice.
