Ronald Ivor Renaldo born on July 27, 1936, to the late Ivor Halgar Renaldo and Faith Wheeler died on December 22, 2025, at Mercy House of the Southern Tier. He was also predeceased by his granddaughter, Jennifer Zizzi, his son-in-law, Mark Zizzi and his stepson, Kevin Ennis.
Growing up in Jamestown, NY, Ron made his earliest money at age 14 as a stock clerk at his great-uncle’s grocery store, then as a store technician-clerk for an auto parts retailer, and later, still in his teens, as an ice making equipment operator followed by work in the grape fields with migrant workers for Welch’s Grape Juice. For two summer seasons, he supported the newly built Southwestern Central High School with various trucking activities. While attending college he worked as a technician with General Electric as a precursor to a 34-year development engineering career with IBM.
He graduated from Celeron High School in 1954 where he was president of the last known nation-wide high school fraternity, Chi Sigma Chi, Delta Sigma Chapter originally founded in 1891. During this period, he augmented his high school education with technical adult education classes at Jamestown High School, the only way for him to acquire the knowledge he needed for his chosen career. He then graduated from SUNY Alfred and attended Binghamton University.
In his mid-years, Ron enjoyed tennis, basketball, bowling, and swimming but then settled on his final passion for motorcycle touring.
Above all, Ron treasured his 30 years with his beloved wife, Carol Ann Bontempo Renaldo for a life of shared interests and goals. He held dear all memories of their travels and of leisurely times at their second home in Vero Beach, Florida where they enjoyed the company of their special friends, Alberto and Rose Rossi. He is also survived by his children, Kevin (Deborah) Renaldo, Elaine Zizzi, and Eric Renaldo (Jennifer); his grandchildren, Emily Zizzi and Austin Renaldo; his great-grandchildren, Noah and Savannah Reed; his step-son, Kirk (Becky) Ennis and their children, Brittany (Travis) Miller and Adam; his step-son, Steve Rogers (Camille Ciotoli) and his children, Stephen and Kari (Jake) Longo; his step-daughter, Dina (Scott) Barney and their children, Jake (Kasaundra) Barney, Nick (Natalie) Barney, and Luke Barney.
