Mary Anne Harter, 84 of Endwell, NY, passed away peacefully at Susquehanna Nursing Home on December 13, 2025, with her loving husband of 65 years, Edward, by her side. She is also survived by three children, Deborah Jo Harter, Edward Harter, Jr., Steven (Melissa) Harter; sister-in-law, Joan Seifried of Herkimer, NY, brother-in-law, Jim Harter of Minoa, NY, Sharon Harter of Mohawk, NY; nephew, James (Rachel) Harter and their sons, Zachary (Madison) and Dylan (Brianna) Harter; nephews, David Harter and Tim and Wayne Seifried; first cousins, Susan, Katie, Andy and Michael Duchnycz, very close friends, Al and Valerie Paolucci, Holly Milano and Barb Skarvinko. Mary Ann’s “munchkins” as she called them when they were young and, in her care, was like a loving second mother to, Cathy and Chris Paolucci, Katie Skarvinko, Maggie Milano, Colin Kutney, Nicole Stanley and children, and many more! Mary Anne loved to serve others, waitressing in her younger days, teaching young Boy Scout and Brownie Troops, handing out her homemade bread, chicken noodle soup, and monster cookies, running a successful Daycare and a Natural Healer and Reflexologist to many. Mary Anne will be remembered for her devotion to serving others. Her Day Care children were nurtured with the same care and attentiveness she gave to everyone in her life. Her kindness, generosity and steady presence will be deeply missed and forever cherished.
A Funeral Mass will be held on Saturday January 10, 2026, at The Church of the Holy Family, 3600 Phyllis St. Endwell, NY at 12 Noon, followed by a Celebration of Life at Endwell Greens, 3675 Sally Piper Rd. Endwell, NY at 1:30 PM. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation in her memory to Mercy House of the Southern Tier 212 N.
