Marina A. (Zonio) Lewis

Marina A. (Zonio) Lewis, 76 of Endicott, New York passed away on Tuesday, July 28, 2026.

Marina was born in Johnson City, New York, the daughter of the late Gaetano (Guy) and Anna Zonio. She was predeceased by her parents, sister Lee (Jack Dowd), and beloved husband, Carl Lewis.

She is survived by her brother, Edmund (Carmen) Zonio, beloved cats Scoob-E and Jo-Z, considered him a son, David (Kristen) Maroney, stepsons; Randy (Melissa) Lewis, Scott Lewis and Michael (Lindy) Lewis, nephews; Michael (Donna) Zonio, Christopher (Kate) Zonio, Jefferey Maroney, step granddaughter, Olivia Lewis, step grandsons, Connor and Parker Lewis, great nephews Kyle and Jared Zonio and great nieces, Caroline and Anna Maroney.

Marina was a graduate of Johnson City High School and went on to have a successful career as a stylist and owner of her own salon in Johnson City, New York. She was an “Italian Beauty” and a very strong woman.  She met the love of her life, Carl and they enjoyed dancing the nights away and spent many years loving each other. Her cats were her babies, and she made it her passion in life to care for them. She will be remembered for her unwavering compassion and lifelong dedication to the wellbeing of all animals.  In addition, one of her greatest gifts was being able to help her parents so much as they aged.

In her spare time, she shopped QVC and loved the slots at nearby Casinos. She was quite the “cleaner” and had every new tool possible to clean with.  She shared her love of these tools with family and friends.  She took pride in knowing, “you could eat off her floor”.  She was a lot of fun and a very unique person.  She was always making us laugh.  She even recorded a radio advertisement for a local furniture store because they knew her and loved her.  Marina didn’t take anyone’s “nonsense” and she will be truly missed by those who knew and loved her.  She was a true “force of nature”.

She has been waiting for the day to see her “Carly” again and the time has finally come.

We will miss you!

Special thanks to Jill and Pat for the care of Scoob-E and Jo-Z!

In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy in Marina’s name can be made to the Animal Care Council, Endicott, New York.
