Louis P. Ozvold, of Endwell, NY, age 87, passed away peacefully at home on Tuesday, June 16th, 2026, surrounded by his loving family.
He was predeceased by his parents, Louis and Stephie Ozvold, his brother and sister-in-law, Joseph and Rita Ozvold, grandsons Ethan and Kaden Adams, and great- niece Debbie Pigos.
Lou is survived by his wife, Dottie Ozvold, his daughters Lori (Brian) Favela, Lisa Hayes, Maria (John) Powley, and Beth (Anthony) Adams, his treasured grandchildren Taylor, Tyler, Jordan, Claudia, Ellie, and Aubrie, and great- grandchildren Liam, Jenson, Emmalyn, and Tate. He is also survived by two nieces, a nephew, and many cousins, and frequent visitor and helper, Bob/Don Klepfer.
Lou was born and raised in Johnson City, graduated from Johnson City High School and Broome Tech and attended RIT. He retired from IBM Endicott. He enjoyed camping with his family, and delighted teaching his daughters and then grandchildren how to fish. He was also his children’s and grandchildren’s greatest cheerleaders, attending their athletic events with pride and joy. He was an active and faithful member of St. Joseph’s Church in Endicott.
The family would like to thank the compassionate angels at Guthrie Hospice, who made his last days comfortable. In addition, we’d like to thank everyone at Rock Steady Boxing, who helped keep him active, even until recently.
A Funeral Mass will be held Monday, June 22nd, at 10:00 AM at St. Joseph’s Church 207 Hayes Ave. Endicott, NY. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery, Johnson City, NY. The family will receive friends at the Leon Pucedo Funeral Home, Inc. 1905 Watson Blvd. Endicott, NY, on SUNDAY June 21st from 3:00 PM – 5:00 PM. In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy in his memory may be made to St. Joseph’s Church.
