Dorothy Engdahl Conway

Dorothy Engdahl Conway, of Endicott, New York, went to be with Jesus her Savior and Lord on September 25, 2026. Though we are saddened by her struggle with cancer, and by our separation from her for a time, we are glad that she is now healed and reunited in heaven with loved ones who went before her.

Dorothy grew up in the Lakewood, New York, area and graduated from Southwestern Central High School in 1981. During high school, she raised puppies for a 4-H guide-dog program, caring for and training the dogs during their first year before they went on for specialized training.

She later attended Practical Bible Training School in Johnson City, NY, where she met her husband, Michael Conway. Dorothy and Mike were married on August 10, 1991, in Vestal, New York, and made their home in Endicott. Dorothy and Mike were the parents of identical triplet daughters, Ruth, Laura, and Cynthia Conway.

Dorothy enjoyed reading and sewing. She loved a good book! She was especially known for the Raggedy Ann and Andy dolls she made by hand and sold online. Her family remembers the care and creativity she put into her work.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Mike, who died March 20, 2023, and by her parents, Roy and Marion Engdahl of Lakewood, New York.

She is survived by her daughters, Ruth, Laura, and Cynthia; her siblings, Jonathan (Janice) Engdahl of Chardon, Ohio, Elizabeth (Randy) Jones of Bemus Point, New York, Barbara (Mike) Metzinger of Corry, Pennsylvania, and David Engdahl of Bemus Point, New York; as well as extended family and friends.

A private graveside service will be held at Vestal Hills Memorial Park at a later date.
