Lillian M. “Lilly” Babicek
July 21, 1933 -June 28, 2025
Lillian (Toman) Babicek of Endwell has completed her life on earth and now joins her beloved husband, John, in God’s heavenly kingdom.
She was predeceased by her parents, Paul and Hilda Toman, and her brothers, Paul, Jerry and Robert.
She leaves behind her loving children: Linda (Paul) Cannavino, Nancy (Joseph) Paquet, Randy (Sarah) Babicek. Also, beloved grandchildren, Jacqueline (Bret) Stamy, Nadine (John) Roach), Joseph (Ciara) Paquet. Her most cherished possessions were great-grandchildren, twins John and Lillian Stamy, Henry Stamy, and Michael Paquet. Also surviving are several nephews and nieces.
After raising her children, she worked at IBM Endicott & Glendale and retired with John in 1990. After retiring, she worked part time as an usher at the Broome County Arena. Lillian was very active in her children’s lives by volunteering at St. Joseph’s school.
She was very devoted to her church and in 2015 was awarded the Diocese of Syracuse Immaculata Award for her participation in many church activities among them being past president of the Altar Rosary Society, funeral luncheon coordinator, bazaar holupki planner, choir and shrine and garden ministries.
In her spare time, she volunteered at Lourdes Hospital gift shoppe. She was past president of the Czechoslovak Moravan Club, where she and John performed with the Dance groups dressed in the native “kroj”. John was born in Mistrin, Czech Republic and Lillian’s parents were both Czech immigrants.
In recent years she had been a volunteer at Mother Teresa’s Food Pantry in Endicott.
The family wishes to thank the medical and nursing staff at UHS Hospital and Ideal Nursing facility for their wonderful care and concern towards our mom.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, July 5, 2025 at 11 am at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, 207 Hayes Avenue, Endicott NY. Visiting hours will be held before the service from 9:30 am to 10:45 am at St. Joseph’s.
