Michael Sulich

The children of Michael Sulich, age 90, of Endicott, announce the passing of our father on April
4, 2024. Our hearts are broken by the loss of such a wonderful man, but we take comfort
knowing he is reunited with our mother, Shirley, for all eternity.

Dad was a man of virtue and principle, and we were truly blessed to have him as our father. He
was intelligent, devoted to his wife and children, genuine and sincere, loyal to family and
friends. He was the person you called for advice and help, always putting others first. A quiet,
but keen sense of humor, his answer for any ailment was “a shot and a beer” (true to his
heritage). May he enjoy many of those in heaven.

Mike retired from IBM Owego/Endicott after career as a Chemical Engineer/Manager. He was a
lifetime member of St Mary’s Orthodox Church and a member of the ACRC Club.

Mike was predeceased by his wife, Shirley, in 2020. In addition, he was predeceased by his
parents, John and Helen Sulich, brother John Sulich, and sisters Helen Rusnak, Anne Raser, and
Mary Hiatt.

He is survived by his children, Rebecca (Brian) Szymaniak, sons Michael (Marianne) and Robert;
grandchildren Jessica (Jason) Long, Jonathan (Brittany) Szymaniak, Alexis (Jeremy) Ward, and
Justin Sulich; great-granddaughters Norah and Clara Long; as well as several nieces and
nephews.

We would like to express our deepest appreciation and gratitude to our brother Bob, who
became caregiver to dad after our mother’s passing so that he may remain in his home for
several years. We are grateful for the dedication he showed for our father’s care.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, April 11, at the Leon Pucedo Funeral Home, Inc. 1905
Watson Blvd. Endicott with Rev. Nathaniel Choma of St. Mary’s Orthodox Church officiating.
The family will receive friends prior to the service from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Services begin

at 12:00. In lieu of flowers, please consider donations in Mike’s memory to St. Mary Church,
1907 Jenkins St. Endicott, NY 13760

Our love for our father will continue to grow in our hearts, always remembering the wonderful
man who gave us our values. Please give mom a big hug from all of us. Love you always, Dad.
