Teresa Spinelli, 99, of Endicott, died at Mercy House on Saturday July 18th with her daughters by her side. She is survived by two daughters and sons-in-law, Laura and Michael Minnich and Francine Spinelli and Robert Grey; her grandchildren, Christopher (Renee) Minnich; Mark Minnich; Bobby Grey and Samantha Grey; great-grandchildren, Emily (Danny) Maxwell and Jared Minnich; a great-great grandson Casey Maxwell; sister-in-law Mary Spinelli; special goddaughter Leah Lotito; several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by her husband of 63 years, Frank Spinelli; parents, Lorenzo and Vincenza Spinelli; her sister Maria (Michele) Giorgi; her brother Antonio (Cesarina) Spinelli; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Salvatore and Antonia Spinelli; sister-in-law Giovanna (Lorenzo) Pizzuti; and brother-in-law John Spinelli. Teresa was born in Ceccano, Italy and came to the United States in 1948. She worked at Endicott-Johnson Shoe Company for many years. She enjoyed cooking and baking for family and friends. She was a dedicated member of St. Anthony of Padua Church, Endicott. The family is extremely grateful to her devoted team of caregivers, also known as Teresa’s Angels: Diana, Alice, Jennifer and Mary, and to the staff at Mercy House; these individuals are all truly angels on Earth.
Funeral Services will be held Friday July 24th at 11:00 AM at St. Anthony of Padua Church, 300 Odell Ave. Endicott, NY. Entombment will follow in Calvary Cemetery, Johnson City, NY. The family will receive friends at St. Anthony’s Church on Friday from 10:00 AM until the time of Mass at 11:00 AM. In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy in her memory may be made to Mercy House, 212 N.
