Marcia Darling passed away on February 17 after a long battle with Parkinson’s disease. She was predeceased by her husband Gary Darling, parents Marks and Janet Glover, brother Brian Glover, parents’ in-law Jack and Helen Darling, brothers’ in-law James W. Darling and John Leet, sister in-law Jacki Leet, and nephew John P. Leet.
She is survived by sons Andy (Beth) Osborne, Josh (Casey) Osborne, sister in-law Shirley (Paul) Smith, sister in-law Wanda Glover, grandchildren Maggie Osborne, Matt Staples, Lizzy (Rich) Lynch, and nieces and nephews Heather (Joel) Storer, Allyson Darling, Jason (Brittany) Lisick, Christopher (Abagail) Lisick, Kate (Mike) Dingell, Christine Smith, Tony (Jennifer) Glover, and Jay (Jennifer) Glover, as well as many grand nieces and nephews.
Marcia lived in the Binghamton area for most of her life. She graduated from Union Endicott high school and SUNY Cortland, and was a Vestal elementary school teacher for roughly 30 years. She helped to create a program for teaching gifted students, with her creative side being a great asset to the program. Marcia loved her family, including many pets throughout the years.
A celebration of life will be held in the spring. The family would like to thank the team at the Seneca Nursing & Rehabilitation center in Waterloo, NY for their respect, dedication and care during Marcia’s final days.
