Dave grew up with a love of the great outdoors including fishing, hunting and sports. He especially loved watching the Giants & Dodgers with his little buddy “Eddie”. When talking of the “good ole days” you would always hear about the hunting trips with Dad and Brother Al or the trips to Canada fishing with his Dad and good friend Eddie Jackson and “the guys”. Dave had been a member for several years in the Vestal Service Organization, which later became the Vestal Jaycees. He enjoyed several years coaching Youth Soccer, Youth Baseball and played in a Men’s Softball League himself. From boating at Whitney Point Dam to cruising
Skaneateles Lake, his love of the water never faded but took a backseat to his grandsons’ births and events. Family always came first to Dave. His weekends always included a little Bob Seger, Billy Joel or Joe Cocker in the background. He also enjoyed woodworking and building and built a pool, shed, garage and an addition to his home. He truly enjoyed the bowling, golf and pitch leagues that he was involved in. Dave, a long time member of the Vestal Elks #2508, also enjoyed the company of his fellow Elk members in their Thursday night pitch league.

Dave’s employment years in commercial credit gave him the opportunity to work with the professional Golf pros and included many perks to the BC/Dick’s Open. Later in life he enjoyed touring the NY Wineries, Music Concerts and talking about the new autos coming out while working for Gault Chevrolet and then Matthews Auto.

We will surely miss those beautiful blue eyes and the solid commitment to family he carried with him.

Dave is Survived by his Grandsons who will miss that “Nice Going” (any chance he had)…And that loving and whole hearted laughter. Grandsons: Maverick Weston (Krista Kratzer), Cody Weston, Brendan Bialy (Ami Chauhan) Austin Weston (Rachel), Devin Bialy, Dylan Weston, Gavin Weston.
