He grew up in the best of times and loved being with family at his grandparent’s dairy farm. He always thought that was heaven to him, and one of his very favorite places. Jim was also a lover of sports, he played football and baseball as a youth and in later years, after retirement in 2011 from the NYS&W railroad, as a locomotive engineer, he enjoyed playing in his Senior Softball league where he made some very special friends. He also enjoyed working out at the gym and taking walks with Linda. He recently enjoyed hitting golf balls for fun and exercise. One of his biggest joys in life was watching his sons play baseball, and his grandsons and granddaughter play sports. Mostly, Jim was known for his huge heart and how much he loved his family and how he would light up any room with his friendliness and his exuberance for life. He will be forever missed by his family and friends. Jim had a strong faith, and we are at peace knowing he is resting in the arms of our Lord.
