Gloria D. Jimenez, age 83 years old, of Endicott, NY, passed away on August 06, 2025, at home after battling Stage 4 Lung Cancer for 5 months. Gloria was born in Humacao, Puerto Rico, on December 09, 1942, to Domingo and Ann Garcia. Gloria was a retired Hotel Director of many hotels in Brooklyn, New York.
As a child, Gloria was a professional dancer on Univision and Telemundo stations between the age of 7 and 15 years old. During her time on T.V. Gloria was rewarded with many awards and trophies. Gloria is also a well-known seamstress that made several wedding, prom, bridesmaid and evening gowns dresses. Gloria's hobbies were playing bingo, taking cruises, and vacationing with her family and friends. Gloria loved being in Lake George every summer. Gloria's whole life was spent with her children and being a great wife to her late husband, Jose. Gloria was kind hearted, giving, loving and full of life. Gloria was an animal lover and had several pets she loved throughout her life.
Gloria is predeceased by her husband Jose Jimenez of 38 years. Her two twin boys, Tom and Jerry Jimenez. Her parents Domingo and Anna Garcia and all her Siblings, Mercedes, Carmen, Anna and her one brother Ralph. Lastly but not least, her beloved son-in-law, Glenn Thompson. Gloria is survived by her three children, Evelyn Hernandez-Thompson (Caretaker), Israel Hernandez Jr. and Terrance Jimenez. Her 8 Grandchildren Veronica Hernandez, Israel Hernandez III (Mariana), Jazmine Hampton (Gregory), Kalese Keller, Keisha Keller, Laquavia Livingston, Tyler Anderson, Michele James (Jesiim). Her 8 Great Grandchildren, Aubrey Hernandez-Prince, Nicholas Hernandez, Jaydon and Jerry Hampton, Charlotte Anderson, Taj James, Dandre James, JeSire James, and Anya James and several nephews and nieces.
Gloria's Daughter, Evelyn would like to give a special thank you to The Guthrie Hospice Team for their assisting with the last few months of Gloria's life. Evelyn would also like to thank the family members, Veronica, Michele and Mariana who dedicated their personal time to Gloria.
The family will receive friends at the Leon Pucedo Funeral Home, Inc. 1905 Watson Blvd. Endicott, NY 13760 on Tuesday August 12th from 6 to 8 PM.
