Roseann (Rosie) Cowen passed away peacefully in her sleep with her daughter by her side on March 29, 2024. She is predeceased by her loving husband, James E Cowen. Her smile and her sass will be deeply missed by all that loved her.
Roseann is survived by her daughters, Marianne (Eric) Kornblum and Christie (Erick) Pinney who will forever cherish their memories of her. She also leaves behind her beloved granddaughter, Kailie, and grandson, Zach, who brought her immense joy. Additionally, she is survived by her sister, Barbie, with whom she shared a special bond, and her niece, Ashley and nephew, JJ, whom she adored.
Roseann will fondly be remembered for her big heart, hosting large holiday gatherings with her family, her love of Dunkin Donuts coffee, her passion for her time at the casinos, her laugh and her sarcasm . After a fulfilling 30 year career at IBM, Roseanne embarked on a new chapter, immersing herself in the polka community alongside her sister Barbie; With her Husband, Jim, she supported Christie and Erick in helping with shopping errands for the bagel shop. Roseann enjoyed shopping, cooking, crafting, gardening and decorating for every single holiday; she enjoyed the special occasions when Marianne and Zach were in town giving her the chance to spoil them while they entertained her with tales of life in New England and their sarcastic wit too.
And although we can never know, we are sure her final words would have been “BITE ME” or “ Okay time for you to go”
The family welcomes you to share your memories of Roseanne in the online guestbook. A private family service will be held at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to Animal Care Council, 131 Washington Ave, Endicott, NY 13760 in Roseanne's name.
