Margaret A. (Greco) George, 98 of Endicott, passed away on December 6, 2018 at James G. Johnston Nursing Home.

Previously she was a resident of the assisted living at Hilltop United Methodist Homes. She was predeceased by her parents, Joseph and Lucy Greco; her husband, Anthony M. George; her siblings, Frank, John, Vita, Nina and Rose. She is survived by her son, David A. George (Barbara); her daughter, Christine Brown (Joseph); four grandchildren, Matthew G. Brown, Jay P. Brown, Jennifer Fish (Brad), Lisa A. Brown; three great-grandchildren, Emma Brown, Madison and Brayden Fish; two special nieces, Susan Campbell and Andrea Rhodes; also several other nieces and nephews. Margaret was a talented, creative woman. She was a beautiful person inside and out and a part of the Greatest Generation. She was a model in her youth and considered a career in modeling and was offered a job in NYC with the Powers Modeling Agency. She worked at IBM during WW II on the War Production Board. After she met “Tony”, she became a homemaker but in later years worked as the manager of a candy store in Endicott and later worked in the tag office at Endicott Johnson until she retired at 70. Margaret loved her family above all. Her wisdom and faith were evident in all she did. She has left us a legacy of love that will be cherished forever. The family wishes to thank the caring staff at Hilltop Campus, United Methodist Homes for the wonderful care given to her. We will miss her many friends there, especially Laura Clemente. We  wish to thank Sister Anisia Muthoni for her loving prayers and devotion to the care of our Mom, and to Julie Bambara FNP for her loving care of Margaret. Also to our friends who remembered her in their prayers.

Funeral Services will be held, Tuesday 9:30 AM from the Leon Pucedo Funeral Home, Inc. 1905 Watson Blvd. Endicott and at 10:00 AM at St. Anthony of Padua Church, 306 Odell Ave. Endicott, where a Funeral Mass will be held. Entombment will follow in Riverhurst Cemetery, Endwell. The family will receive friends at the Pucedo Funeral Home on Monday from 5 to 7 PM.
